Albany Med Health System, the Albany District (NY) Chapter of the Links Incorporated and the Beta Psi Foundation are partnering to host a Black Family Wellness Expo on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Giffen Memorial Elementary School.

Representatives of local businesses and health resources will be in attendance to help educate participants and share their programs on health services and healthy lifestyle options in the Capital Region. Hear from medical experts on important health topics including childhood obesity, juvenile diabetes, breast and colon cancer, African American maternal health, mental and oral health. Exhibitors will be on hand from AARP, Alzheimer’s Association, Sickle Cell advocates, the Warren and Denyse Mackey Foundation and others. This free event will include refreshments and fun activities for the whole family. 

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we will be raffling off the following exciting prizes for adult participants: $25 gift cards for Walmart, Target and Price Chopper; YMCA family memberships; bicycles with helmets; portable USB blenders; walking pads and pedal exercisers; and 15 laptops!  
Entry requirements: 18 and older. You must be present to win.

We didn’t forget the children. There will be arts and crafts and an art contest where the prizes include gift cards and scooters! Children will also have a chance to win prizes in the activity room.
