In addition to the more than 1,400 annual service hours chapter members perform in the community, the Albany District (NY) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated also makes financial contributions — both large and small — to nonprofit community-based organizations. Since 1997, our Chapter has donated more than $160,000 to organizations in the capital region that do amazing things with limited funds and staff. Through our charitable efforts, the Albany District Links help to fill the financial gaps of numerous impactful and worthy organizations.

Our financial support comes in the form of direct grants from the Chapter’s annual fundraiser and through direct contributions from the program facets of the Chapter. For more than 20 years, the Albany District Links hosted Cookin’ with Jazz, an event combining sampling dishes made by area celebrity chefs and the not-so-famous home chefs, and music by local jazz musicians. This successful event has assisted the Chapter with sustaining its financial support of the Capital Region’s non-profit community.

Keep an eye out for details on our upcoming fundraiser!

Our annual financial contributions have funded organizations throughout the four Capital Region counties (Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady and Saratoga), that address the needs of vulnerable populations such as the  homeless, female veterans, victims of food insecurity, economically and educationally disadvantaged children, and survivors of domestic violence.
